Bayelsa State Union (BSU) is a non-profit making organisation that is made up of
Most of us have families here and we feel the need to come together to:-
- Promote unity and understanding amongst members;
- Promote and maintain the culture of the people of Bayelsa state and Ijaw land;
- Promote the economic and social development of Bayelsa state and its people in
- Encourage Open Dialogue in order to identify areas of concern and to raise awareness so as to advance the physical and mental faculties of the people of
- Seek to influence government policy in the development of Bayelsa state and the states within the Niger Delta;
- Promote Public Health in
- Promote human rights, transparency, accountability and good governance in
- Promote the conservation of wildlife and the rain forest in the Niger Delta;
- Work closely with the Nigerian government and the international community in order to promote stability and sustainable development and improve the standard of living of the people in Bayelsa state and the Niger Delta;
- Work closely with other Bayelsa, Ijaw and Nigerian organisations and institutions, in order to promote transparency, stability and development in Bayelsa state and the Niger Delta
